To Whom It May Concern:

Ronald Maynard has been a tremendous help to me as I marketed our new Healthcare Consumer Advocacy Professional Certificate.

I'm not immersed in the field of marketing myself so I will describe how he was so helpful in lay language.

One of Ronald's best qualities is his willingness to do his very best for the one with whom he is working. He helped me reconsider layouts and wording, until it was near perfect.

If I had an idea in the middle of the night, the next morning he would in good spirit, patiently and accurately change what we had decided together the day before.

He seemed to know well how to work within the worlds of software in several systems to make my ideas clear. Ronald was also able to take photographs of our events and integrate them into whatever medium needed. It felt very safe to leave the finished product in his hands.

Perhaps his greatest strength was due to his giving his best to everyone, he got along with everyone. Therefore it was easy to grease the system to achieve our ends when we worked together.

Without hesitation, I highly recommend Ronald for any position of responsibility. He will be a gift to you.

Sincerely,

Jane Brown, Ph.D. M.Div

To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I recommend Ronald Maynard (Ron) to you. I have known Ron for the last year or so, and found him to be both knowledgeable and personable - a rare combination! I first met Ron as a student, where he was enrolled at Antioch University Midwest in the Creative Writing Program. As the program is known for being rigorous, Ron attacked the curriculum, and actively engaged with both faculty and students, in and out of the classroom. I was impressed not only with his comprehension of the subject matter, but also the efforts he took to supplement his reading with material from the library (which is where we met).

While still a student, Ron secured a work-study position in the Office of the President as the key Graphic Designer for University projects that had significantly high profiles. Ron worked with the President, CFO, Marketing Director and the Executive Secretary (among others) creating advertising campaigns, student and alumni video interviews (and creating web space for them to be uploaded), and other material not only for the local campus, but the national University system as well. I worked with Ron in this capacity as well - he helped the library both design and implement a poster series, and easily provided photo-editing services that would have been time-consuming otherwise.

In all of these endeavors, I found Ron to be approachable, pleasant, and current in his field. True to the nature of Antioch, Ron treated everyone with whom he worked with equal respect, courtesy and friendship. Willing to go beyond what was asked to provide answers to questions we did not know to ask; Ron modeled what it is to be a colleague in the workspace.

It is without hesitation that I state that Ron will prove beneficial to wherever he ends up - his writing and computer abilities, along with his impressive background and personal narrative, will serve him well.

Please feel free to contact me if you have further questions.

Sincerely,

Stephen J. Shaw, Ph.D.

To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write a letter of recommendation for Ronald Maynard. Ronald is a Work-Study student for Antioch University and has created numerous professional media brochures, including one for the Office of Financial Aid. Ronald's creativity and workmanship are exemplary and Antioch is lucky to have him.

In addition to creating brochures, Ronald has also assisted with Videography and documentation of events held on campus. Ronald is always eager to be involved in whatever projects Antioch may have for recruitment, enrollment, retention, and graduation.

On a last note, Ronald created a personal flier for me for volunteer work that I am involved in. The attention to detail and professionalism were far beyond my expectation.

I would highly recommend Ronald for any type of media or graphic art work.

Sincerely,

Kathy John,
Director of Financial Aid
Antioch University Midwest

To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the sincere pleasure of working with Ronald Maynard for the last eighteen months in his role as the part-time Graphic Designer at Antioch University Midwest. Ronald filled an important role for the entire campus in addition to the Department of Development and Alumni Services as he provided critical skills to fulfill a need that was urgent for the institution.

Ronald has been a joy with to work because he is always eager to assist any project that is at hand, even with short notice. He is a dedicated worker who quickly turns around projects, often while managing several at one time. He has a consistent willingness to better himself and his skills and continues to learn new programs as he finds them relevant to his success on our campus.

As reflected in his resume, Ronald's design skills in Multimedia and graphic work are extensive and he has applied those in many situations at Antioch University Midwest. With his talent over the last eighteen months, the institution has been able to produce new and engaging content in midst of changes to organization and image standards. Ronald has stepped up to the challenge at hand and contributed positively to Antioch University Midwest's strategic initiatives.

Ronald is a committed worker who performs strongly both independently and in a collaborative setting. He has true integrity and brings kindness and a sense of humor to his work - both important traits in a positive work environment. If you have any questions about his candidacy for employment with our organization, I would be happy to speak with you further about his qualifications. I highly recommend Ronald to your workplace.

Testimonial For Ronald Maynard

By James M. Malarkey, Ph.D.
Chair of Humanities and General Education
Antioch University Midwest
(937) 769-1972

To Whom It May Concern:

I have known Ron for two years in his capacity as an undergraduate student and administrative assistant  at Antioch University Midwest. I have read examples of his work and worked with him many times on a personal-professional basis in preparing and crafting website materials.

Ron stands out as a student and employee who is unusually enthusiastic, capable, creative, and collaborative. He is clearly eager to learn about the world, to acquire new skills, to be an effective team player, and in his professional life to advance as a writer. If I were to form a team of people who I could count on to be consistently reliable, positive, and ultimately successful in the accomplishment of a project, Ron is the kind of person I would consider. He possesses sound social intelligence as well as technical and literary skills. Ron radiates good energy as, I believe, others would confirm.

Although I cannot comment fully on Ron's work and potential as a writer, I have had the privilege of reading some of his work. What I read shows keen awareness of the building blocks of compelling narrative, solid descriptive range, insight into human experience, capacity for humor and irony, and overall distinctive promise. Ron has undergone quite a few unique and fascinating life experiences that he is able to draw upon in his fiction and nonfiction writing. On occasion Ron has had to muster up some pretty deep resources in order to survive if not thrive and I admire him for that. He did not get a privileged upbringing, but he's got grit.

If you would like to discuss anything in this letter or ask any questions regarding Ron, I would be happy to assist in so far as my experience permits.

Sincerely,

James Malarkey, Ph.D.
